Founded in the early 1980's to protect and enhance the fishery in Lake Almanor, AFA got its start by rearing fish in pens to release into the lake. While the fish pen project continues to thrive, over the last 40+ years AFA has evolved into a community-focused organization, offering a range of programs for youth, veterans, and the local community.
